Internet Technology Used

Technology will be used approximately 45 min to 90 minutes a day.

Ixl:  Internet based reading skills, writing skills, grammar skills, math skills and science skills.  Your child will be very familiar with this.  The above skills will be assigned almost each week.  The class will be given 45 minutes each day to work on skills assigned. 

Newsela: An internet based reading comprehension website.  This website will be used 3-5 times a week. Most assignments will be an article assigned by teacher and read in class.  However, students will also be given assignments based on a reading standards, or a self-created/chosen research topic for short research/writing assignments.  Class will read copious amounts for reading comprehension, science and local history.

Readworks: Another internet based reading comprehension website.  This website will be used 3-5 times a week. Most assignments will be an article assigned by teacher and read in class.  However, students will also be given assignments based on a reading standards, or a self-created/chosen research topic for short research/writing assignments.  Class will read copious amounts for reading comprehension, science and local history.

Edpuzzle: A video (quiz) website.  Students will be assigned science concept videos, history videos, listen and follow directions videos, listening to (story) videos, and art videos.

Engrade: This is an online gradebook that you and your child can access at anytime to see their current grades.  Your child will also be taking tests from here. 

Google Classroom:  This is a spot where I will assign different assignments in writing, science, history, and listening comprehension, and art (taught by art video instruction).
